I listen to books on tape while I work. I’m surprised at how often the mention of a dish towel (or a tea towel, if the story happens to be set in the UK or some other country) is part of the story. Here’s a short list of books which mention dishtowels. I’m not saying I endorse these books, necessarily. Some of them are silly entertainment while I work away at mixing dye and building up stock for markets. But I notice dish towels. And I notice when a dish towel is part of the action. If you come across a towel in your reading, let me know. Send me an email. Thanks.
